Safety Notice:
Rifles must be cased and left in vehicle until after the Safety Briefing. Do Not bring your firearms out until instructed to bring them to the firing line. No loaded firearms on the range unless on the firing line and load command has been given. Eye and ear protection required. No illegal firearms are allowed. Some ranges are .22 rimfire only. At ranges that allow centerfire no rifle cartridges over 8mm cal are allowed.
Range Fee: $10 per day. Youth 17 and under are exempt.

The range has 15 on-site primitive campsites (no open fires allowed, no potable water available).

Directions:
Take I-84 and turn off exit 374 for OR-201.
Go south on OR-201 for 4.7 miles.
Turn right onto US-20 W/US-26 W/Thunderegg Blvd and follow US-20 W/US-26 W for 11.7 miles.
Turn left onto Glenn Street N. It will turn into Lytle Blvd as you leave Vale.
The entrance to the range will be on the right, about 1.5 miles south of Vale
Turn right onto the gravel road.
Turn left and follow the road for roughly a half mile to the range.

Oregon is generally gun friendly but, as in many States, has some peculiarities.
Misc:
The Snake River Sportsman range is a premier long distance shooting club. This event requires a centerfire rifle to shoot distances from 100 - 400 yards. At this event to you will learn the ballistics of your centerfire rifle and learn how to read and shoot in the wind.
This Long-Distance Appleseed event is open only to student who have attended at least one Appleseed event. Students are not required to have earned their Rifleman (210) score on a standard AQT at a previous event, but a score of 180 or better is highly recommended.
This will be a reduced round count event, due to the current ammunition shortage. Bring a minimum of 200 rounds for the event.
NO RIMFIRES AT THIS EVENT! Only centerfire rifles are permitted.
Please also make sure you have a sling, with the GI web sling being the preferred sling.
